The Staff

Jeff Moore - Senior Pastor

Hi, my name is Jeff and I am the happy husband of Lara and the proud father of Paul, David, and Kaylee. I come to Rio Vista Church as an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, having received a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Nazarene Bible College and a Master's degree in Spiritual Formation from Northwest Nazarene University. My passion is to preach God's word in ways that are relevant, relational, and encouraging. I also have a passion to assist others in discovering God's purpose and power in their lives. My interests include distance running, hiking, bicycling, canoeing, and whatever new adventures my kids or friends in the church want to invite me on.

I believe the most important activity a person can pursue is an ever deepening relationship with Jesus Christ for the sake of others. In response to God's love and mercy, I have given my life to pursuing such a relationship and to being conformed to His image. My goal is to assist God's community in experiencing and sharing His grace beyond the walls of the church. God is truly amazing and continues to surprise and challenge us to discover how He is at work in His world

I encourage you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings and experience for yourself this amazing, surprising, life-giving God.

Be happy,
          Make new friends and
                    Love God sincerely,

Pastor Jeff

Al Casamento - Worship Pastor

Pastor Al played music professionally for 18 years before he and Sally moved to Albuquerque from New York. Both Al and his wife Sally came to know the Lord during a Sunday service at an Amway convention in Fort Worth Texas in 1995. After spending 6 months searching for a church, Al and Sally started to attend Rio Vista. Several months later Al started playing drums on the worship team. In 1999 Al became worship pastor. In Nov. 2006, when the senior pastor and associate stepped, down Al assumed the roll of "interim pastor" until Rev. Jeff Moore accepted the senior pastorate in April 2007. With the Grace of God and Pastor Jeff's' encouragement, Al says he is, "blessed to lead a fast growing congregation, deeply committed to prayer and worship." Al is committed to developing worship leaders and teams to impact our world and deliver the gospel through praise and worship. Al has received his NM District ministerial license and continues his ministerial studies.

Al and Sally were married in 1967, they have two sons, six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Sally has a passion for people and is very much involved in the hospitality ministry of the church and serves in childrens church.
